In the app
- Open BuzzKey and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Security & Privacy.
- Tap Delete Account, then confirm twice.
Deletion happens straight away and can't be undone.
Without the app
Email support@buzzkey.co from the email address on your BuzzKey account and ask us to delete it. We may need to confirm the account is yours before we act on the request.
What we delete
- Your account and household memberships.
- Your device records. The calling credentials linked to your account are revoked.
- The subscription details and billing-history records linked to your account in our database.
- If you are the only admin of your household, the household too: its building details, guests, access codes, schedules and door activity history. We release its BuzzKey phone number and revoke its calling credentials. A released number can't be recovered.
Your profile photo and app PIN never leave your phone; uninstalling the app removes them.
What stays, and for how long
- If your household carries on for other members, its building details, guests, access codes, schedules and door activity history stay until they're deleted separately or the household is deleted. Your account link is removed from its activity entries, but visitor labels and other shared details may remain.
- Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
- Server logs are kept for up to 30 days, and telephony and subscription processing records for 30 days.
- Encrypted database backups are kept for 30 days each. Deleted data may remain in an existing backup until that backup expires.
- Our providers' own records, such as Telnyx call-detail records and Apple or Google transaction records, are kept under their own policies and legal obligations.
See the Privacy Policy for the full retention schedule.
